In the first class on the afternoon of 9th October, teacher Wang Yueling from the Junior High English Department showcased a demonstration lesson in Class 1, Grade 7 on campus. The content of the public class was the Reading Section of Unit 2 ‘Let’s Play Sports’ in the first volume of the English textbook.
Attendants included President Madam Huang Wenli, Principal Assistant Lu Dan, Deputy Director Wang Shengxiang in addition to all teachers with the English Department.
In the second class, at the teaching& research activity room, all members of the English Department evaluated the lesson. They all agreed that they enjoyed the class in that the suitable leading-in and elaborate design were impressive. Other than that, Wang Yueling ’s vivid classroom expressions impressed all teachers present.
To conclude, President Madam Huang Wenli fully affirmed this lesson and put forward several suggestions. Teacher Zhu Renge organized the Junior High English Department to further discuss the activity design in the reading curriculum as well as how to arouse students’ enthusiasm in classroom activities, which benefited all teachers a lot.
